Just because you’re using containers instead of VMs doesn’t mean that your need for self-service infrastructure goes away. In fact, the “instant gratification” nature of containers means that it’s more important than ever for your developers to be able to get the resources they need at a moment’s notice, and that changes your requirements from Infrastructure-as-a-Service to Containers-as-a-Service (CaaS).

Naturally, there are multiple companies working on products to fill that CaaS need, and as one of them, we often get asked about the differences between them. And there are lots of differences. Some provide containers, some provider entire clusters. Some support multi-cloud installs, some don’t. There are so many variations, in fact, that we decided to put together a features matrix that explains it.

You can see the basics here in this post …… or you can see the details. Either way, we’d love to hear your opinions on what’s important to you!The post A comparison of different Containers-as-a-Service products appeared first on Mirantis | Pure Play Open Cloud.
