You can now use the AWS Deep Learning AMIs with Apache MXNet v0.10 and TensorFlow v1.1 for Amazon Linux and Ubuntu in US East (Ohio), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Seoul) and Asia Pacific (Sydney). The AWS Deep Learning AMIs are also available in the following public AWS regions: US East (N. Virginia), US West (Oregon), and EU (Ireland).

Starting today, you can copy Amazon RDS Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) encrypted database snapshots across AWS Regions. This includes databases encrypted with Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Microsoft SQL Server TDE, and snapshots created from SQL Server Multi-AZ instances.

Starting today Amazon Pinpoint adds SMS Text and Email Messaging support in addition to Mobile Push Notifications, providing developers, product managers and marketers with multi-channel messaging capabilities to drive user engagement in their applications. Pinpoint also enables backend services and applications to message users directly and provides advanced user and app analytics to understand user behavior and messaging performance.

AWS Trusted Advisor now helps you better secure your data by alerting you whenever it detects a public snapshot of your Amazon EBS or Amazon RDS data.
For example, if an Amazon EBS volume snapshot is made public, AWS Trusted Advisor will identify that public snapshot and provide you with an alert so that you can investigate whether it was done intentionally.
These new checks are available to all AWS customers at no additional charge. Business and Enterprise support customers can use these new checks to enable automated actions via Trusted Advisor’s integration with CloudWatch Events.
