Tag Your Spot Fleet EC2 Instances

Amazon EC2 Spot Fleet now supports user tags that will automatically propagate to instances launched by your Fleets. This makes it easier for Spot Fleet customers to track ownership, drive their cost accounting processes, implement compliance protocols, and to control access to Spot instances via IAM policies.

Amazon AppStream 2.0 Now Supports Microsoft Active Directory Domains

Starting today you can connect your Amazon AppStream 2.0 streaming instances to your Microsoft Active Directory (AD) domain. This new feature allows you to apply your existing AD policies to your streaming instances, and provides your users with single sign on access to Intranet sites, file shares, and network printers from within their applications. Your users are authenticated using a SAML 2.0 provider of your choice, and can access applications that require a connection to your AD domain.

The latest release of the AWS Deep Learning AMI Ubuntu Version includes several notable updates that help accelerate development of high-performance algorithms. The AMI now comes bundled with the Ubuntu 16.04 base image, NVIDIA CUDA 8 drivers, and the following deep learning framework versions:

Amazon Connect is a simple to use, self-service, cloud-based contact center offering you can use to deliver more engaging customer service experiences. Now you can use Amazon Connect when you need to store, process or transmit cardholder data as part of customer service.

Amazon WorkSpaces Achieves HIPAA Eligibility and PCI Compliance

Amazon WorkSpaces is now HIPAA-eligible and is PCI compliant. If you have an executed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with AWS, you can start using Amazon WorkSpaces to deploy HIPAA-compliant cloud desktops that access Protected Health Information (PHI). With PCI compliance, Amazon WorkSpaces has been verified to conform to Payment Card Industry Security Standards and can now be used to utilize applications and files that contain sensitive Card Holder Data (CHD).
